Donating directly to the RCIS ensures none of your donation supports political organizations antithetical to your political views. While there is a moral question of receiving proceeds from The Vagina Monologues, we are not completely against the proceeds of this play going to cash strapped rape crisis centers, but you should know about the VAGINA WARRIOR AWARD recipients before going in. CODE PINK is being presented with an award by Women in Black (WIB) for their "alleged" contributions towards helping women. We ask, What are they really doing to get this award? WIB is an anti-military group giving recognition to another anti-military group who spreads proproganda under the auspices of supporting a good cause. Imagine a hall, full of unsuspecting people who came to see a play, pay $20 for a great cause, later discovering they were used as pawns in an anti-military video. CODE PINK's history (from their own website and other news sources): Code Pink's Cindy Sheehan right now is in Egypt meeting with the Muslim Brotherhood, promoting the global spread of Shia Law and the subjugation of women. Code Pink asserts they support the troops when in fact they have contributed large sums of money and supplies (at least $650,000 to date) to insurgent groups who fight and kill American soldiers. These same insurgents believe in Shia Law that has honor killings of women, that use car bombs, women and children for suicide murders, that uses mentally impaired children for suicide murders. Code Pink, at Berkeley in recent weeks, has blocked a Marine Corps recruiting center and accosted young recruits and supporters of the Marines. Code Pink embraces Venezuela's Hugo Chavez and Cuba's Fidel castro, dictators that supress not just women, but all their citizens. Code Pink, in October 2007, accosted Condi Rice with red painted hands during a Foreign
Relations Committee hearing. This is WOMEN ON WOMEN VIOLENCE.

Speaking of the displaying of coffins, Kevin Pannell, an amputee and former patient at the hospital said it "was probably the most distasteful thing I had ever seen. Ever. We went by there one day and I drove by and [the anti-war protesters] had a bunch of flag-draped coffins laid out on the sidewalk. You know that 95 percent of the guys in the hospital bed lost guys whenever they got hurt and survivors' guilt is the worst thing you can deal with. |
